Missions
For First & Calvary involvement in missions is a big part of who we are. Missions for us encompasses reaching outside of our congregation to help others in the world. We see this as an expression of being Christ’s ambassadors on earth—his people sent to accomplish his purposes (see 2 Corinthians 5). We very much believe that his purposes include helping people in all kinds of need: financial, social, political, spiritual, relational, emotional. You name it. We want to be responsive—generous kids of the most generous Father! That’s as true for university student involvement in the church as it is for any/all ages here. The college ministry hosts various kinds of ways to be involved in missions—from one-time local service projects to longer-term/longer distance mission trips. These mission experiences are meant for all college-aged folks who might be interested.
