Youth Volunteer Opportunities

As a youth group, we feel that it is very important to give back to First & Calvary! We realize just how much we are supported by our congregation. One of the ways we can show our thanks and worship God is through volunteer work. Whenever you attend a large church event, you’re likely to see youth involved!

Here’s a few key programs throughout the year where students can help.

Our Church Picnic (September):

The Church Picnic is a fun time for Church members, friends and family to share a meal, great music and lots of friendship together. There are games and activities for all ages!

Vacation Bible School (July):

V.B.S. is always one of the most high energy weeks of the year! When you step in the doors, you can almost feel the excitement in the air. There are lots of ways to get involved, through leading groups, childcare, crafts, recreation….

Celebrate….While We Wait (December):

Christmas time around First & Calvary is just a special time. Celebrate….While We Wait is one of the programs that help make this time special.

Hymn Sing & Chili (April 7):

Our Hymn Sing is such a moving time for all those involved. I’ll admit it—last year I cried—and the year before as well! Groups of First & Calvary members and friends visit our senior members and spend time talking with them. We get the opportunity to minister through song—a very powerful experience that you don’t want to miss! I’m already looking forward to next year!
