Bible Studies, Activities and Worship @ The Table

There are many activities on Wednesday nights for all ages!

Bible Studies:
Our adult Bible studies include a large group interactive lecture format called Search taught by the Senior Pastor and many small group studies called Preview.  First and Calvary understands that it is vital for the church to be unified and all of our adult Bible studies on Wednesday nights are unified through a system of Scripture reading called the lectionary.  Search and Preview may present the material differently and the style of teaching and discussion is unique to each class, but the scripture (organized through the lectionary readings) is the same.  Click on  Search or Preview link at the right for a discription of the lessons during Spring 2014.

The children's activites are structured through a graded program called Faith for Life.  Faith 4 Life programs follow dinner (allowing families to eat together) and include choirs and Bible study in age-appropriate settings. (Families do not have to eat dinner in order to come to Faith 4 Life or any of the Wednesday evening programs.)

The Youth have a time of recreation after Dinner that begins at
6:00 p.m. We're talking golf cart relays, toilet paper games, pumpkin slingshots, all you can't eat relay buffet, pie eating contests and a host of other crazy, off-the-wall games!  At 6:30 p.m. Bible study begins and lasts until 7:15 p.m.  After Bible Study, the Student Lounge will be open for homework (if needed) until 8:15 p.m.

Worship Services:  Periodically, Worship services are held on Wednesday nights.  The two types of Wednesday Night worship services are:
Chapel Worship - combines communion, prayer, Scripture, and song. These worship services are held at 6:15 p.m. in the Chapel approximately twice a semester during The Table.  Check the calendar in the weekly review or Bulletin for the schedule and join us in quiet worship.
Family Worship Services - offered twice a semester as a part of Faith 4 Life in the Fall semester. Bring your whole family to a new kind of worship experience at The Table! Family Worship Services provide families with all ages of children to worship and learn together about the elements of worship. Why do we pray? Why do we take communion? What does it mean to be a disciple of Christ? We will answer these and other questions in a fun and energetic way. This worship service is designed with children and youth in mind, but anyone who desires to learn more about the "why" of worship is welcome!
