Good News Easter Eggstravaganza | Mar. 23 - 10am-12pm
Be our guest March 23 from 10am-noon for tons of free family fun at our Family Easter Celebration! There will be resurrection rally, egg hunts for children 5th grade and younger, a petting zoo with MINI COWS!, games, inflatables, crafts, snacks, and more! Register online here as space is limited by Tuesday, March 19! Families who register in advance and arrive on time will receive the book The Garden, the Curtain, and the Cross while supplies last as a gift from First and Calvary. Limited spaces will be available the day of the event.
Palm Sunday Services | Mar. 24 - 8:45am, 11am, & 6:30pm
On Palm Sunday we remember the triumphal entry of our Lord into Jerusalem among shouts of "Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!" echoing from the crowd (Mark 11:9). This significant day, which leads us into Holy Week, will be commemorated in all three worship services through special music, and a palm branch processional for children in the 11:00 service. Trombone Quartet Concert | Mar. 24 - 3pm
Join us on Palm Sunday, March 22 at 3:00 PM in the Atrium for the next Musical Offerings Series concert, featuring the Ozarks Trombone Quartet. Comprised of Carl Hose, Michael Stine, Bob Swanson, and Jason Hausback, the quartet will present an eclectic program of works spanning from the Renaissance to Ragtime. As always, admission is free but donations to support the series are welcome.
Maundy Thursday Service | Mar. 28 - 6pm
On Maundy Thursday we remember the last evening Jesus shared with his disciples in the upper room before his arrest and crucifixion. The name of the service comes from the Latin mandatum novum, referring to the "new commandment" Jesus taught his disciples (John 13:34). This multi-style, communion service will take place in the sanctuary on March 28 at 6 p.m.
Good Friday Prayer Journey | Mar. 29 - 8:30am - 4:30pm
All are welcome to attend a self-guided Good Friday Prayer Journey, any time between 8:30-4pm on 3/29/24. Enter through the South doors where there will be 10 stations with activities to reflect on the gospel story of sacrifice and redemption. Sounds and videos can be accessed, bring a cell phone and earphones if you have them to fully engage in the journey.
Easter Worship Service | Mar. 31 - 8:45am, 11am & 6:30pm
On Easter Sunday we remember the resurrection of Christ, an event that changed the world forever. All the hopes and expectations of Christians are realized in the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, making Easter morning the most important day of the year. We will be celebrating joyfully in all three worship services with a mixture of brass, percussion, and other special instruments. To find out more about our services, click here.
Easter Brunch | Mar. 31 - 9:30am
All are welcomed to share Easter greetings and great brunch food at our Easter brunch! We will be transforming our Fellowship Hall into the He is Risen Cafe which will open at 9:30am on Easter morning. Let's celebrate together!
