Why We Serve
Paul wrote in Philippians, “Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” (Philippians 2:4)
At First & Calvary, we believe our lives become more abundant, beautiful, and fruitful when we serve—when we look beyond ourselves to care for our Springfield neighbors who are struggling and our campus neighbors who are navigating a crucial season of life.
This is why we value serving others—generously supporting local mercy ministries through both financial gifts and volunteered hours. Whether it’s through hands-on service, faithful giving, or compassionate presence, we see every act of service as joining in the work of God’s kingdom.
Our mission is to labor alongside our Father as He draws people to Jesus and grows them as disciples.
