New Summer Bible Study
How do all 66 books of the Bible fit together into one story?
Join us this summer for From Beginning to Forever: A Study of the Grand Narrative of Scripture by Elizabeth Woodson, an 8-week study exploring the Bible’s unified story of God’s redemption and restoration of the world.
Fridays, 9:00–10:30 AM
June 5 – July 31
No meeting on July 3
Together, we’ll trace the story of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation and discover how God invites us into His greater story. To learn more, contact s.orlandos@firstandcalvary.org

Join us on Sunday, June 7, from 9:15–10:45 AM for a free all-church breakfast hosted by Little Bacon. It may be Little Bacon, but they’ll have a whole lot of bacon for us to enjoy as we gather for good food and fellowship before worship.
Love offerings will be accepted during the breakfast, with all proceeds split between Ozarks Food Harvest and Well of Life Food Pantry.
Please RSVP so we can have a helpful head count for preparing food.

Jesus talked extensively about the Holy Spirit and designed us to live our daily lives in tandem with Him. Yet over time, discussions about the Holy Spirit have often become overcomplicated or even intimidating.
Whether you’ve participated in Alpha or are completely new to the conversation, this Holy Spirit Workshop is a welcoming space to learn and experience what it means to live life with the Spirit.
Event Details:
-
Date: June 7th, 5 PM - 8 PM
-
Format: A 3-hour interactive workshop featuring a dinner, engaging talks, small group discussion, and personal prayer time.

This summer, our pastors invite you to read the first book in the Wilderking Trilogy, a book by Jonathan Rogers called The Bark of the Bog Owl.
On one level, this is a fun summer read, whether you are 1 year old or 91. The author describes the book as “swampy adventure fiction” and The School Library Journal says that “Roger’s writing is terrifically appealing. The adventure and humor are first rate.”
On another level, this is a deep summer read that is a sort of re-telling of the biblical David and Goliath story. As such, it not only invites the reader deeper into the biblical story, but also raises fascinating questions about how the arts can intersect with our faith.
Grab a copy (wherever you buy or borrow books - including our own library!) and dive right in! We will be hosting a multigenerational conversation about the book on August 9th at 4:00PM in the church library!
“‘Who knows what the future holds? Only the One God,’ explained Aidan. ‘You live the little bit of life that you can see in front of you. You live it well. And that gets you ready for whatever unfolds next.’” -The Bark of the Bog Owl
