Jesus & Women Summer Bible Study
Join us for this special Summer Bible study facilitated by Faith Zimmer including videos and Bible study by biblical culturalist Kristi McLelland on those dusty roads as she transports you back to Jesus’ world, following in the footsteps of the women who came face-to-face with the Living God. Over 7 sessions, examine the historical and cultural climate of first-century Middle Eastern society to not only understand Jesus more deeply but to fuel your worship of Him today. Adult and youth women are invited Fridays from 9am-11am starting June 7-July 27 (we will be off July 5) in Room 016. Contact Faith Zimmer at f.zimmer@firstandcalvary.org. Church Baseball Night!
Join our First & Calvary family at the Cardinals baseball game Wednesday, July 24 @ 7:05pm. Tickets are $10 each or free for those who sing the National Anthem with our choir.
Everyone, children, and youth, and adults, is welcome to sing! Anthem choir practice are on Wednesdays at 7pm on 17th. Contact Tyler at t.heckman@firstandcalvary.org for questions about the choir. Sign up using this form by July 17th.
Faith & The Arts Academy
Registration is now CLOSED!
Let's all come together as the body of Christ bring the beauty of the arts with gospel seeds to children in our Springfield community. Many volunteers are needed for this summer outreach. Faith & Vocation Class
As we seek to labor alongside our Father, how do we do that in our vocation? Come to this Sunday morning class at 9:45 am Aug. 4, 11, & 18 in the Fellowship Hall with teachings from Steve Young and interviews with covenant partners about the intersection of faith and vocation from their experiences.
Children and Youth Sunday morning classes and childcare is available during this time.

We are seeking volunteers for the following events to welcome our MSU College

any of these events, please wear your teal First and Calvary volunteer shirt if you have
one from last year or please order a shirt using this form no later than July 23.
Water Bottle Handout | Aug. 8 - 11am
We are welcoming students this year with a free car wash on Saturday, August 17th from 11:00 am - 2 pm. Bring your cars on over to the south parking lot. We look forward to meeting you!
Route 66 Festival | Aug. 8 - 7pm
Come join us for the Route 66 Festival in Downtown Springfield! Come hear a fun band starting at 7pm, great music, and dancing along with other folks from around the area. Meet at First and Calvary at 6:30pm and walk over together. FREE EVENT!!!
Band Lunch | Aug. 14 - 9am
We are serving lunch to hundreds of grateful band students.
Car Wash | Aug. 17 - 10:30am
We are washing cars for free to bless MSU students andcommunity members.
Soup Night | Every Tuesday starting Aug. 20 - 6:30pm
Weekly home cooked meal at a home off campus! Jef and Yasko White, MSU professors host a dinner every Tuesday night starting Tuesday, August 20 at 6:30. Meet at 6:15 at First and Calvary for shuttle. FREE ONGOING EVENT!!!

Summer Pastor's Book Club:
The Chronicles of Narnia
This summer, our Pastor's book club is going fictional with C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia! We will meet twice to discuss the books. We will discuss The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe; Prince Caspian; The Voyage of the Dawn Treader; & The Silver Chair on July 10 at 6 pm. On August 14 at 6 pm, we will discuss The Last Battle; The Horse and His Boy; & The Magician's Nephew. Readers of all ages are welcome!
