Experience Carri Colvin’s expressive and inviting artwork, along with a special display of children’s art, live jazz, an all-ages art activity, and light refreshments.

During your time worshiping at First & Calvary, it's likely that you have enjoyed fellowship over something delicious from volunteers in our F&C Kitchen. Maybe you or your kids have wondered how the kitchen works, who makes the delicious food, or if you could get involved? We love bringing kids into the rhythms of the church, and one of those rhythms is service. If you have a child who would like to learn about serving in our kitchen–and at the same time enjoy a Make Your Own Pizza night–this event is for them! Your children are invited to work with Carol Chappell in our F&C Kitchen to make a personal pizza that they can enjoy at the event, a family-sized pizza to bring home, and fruit pizza for dessert. This is a time to let our kids learn and shine, so while they are cooking in the kitchen there will be a separate time of fellowship for parents in the Atrium. We hope your family will be able to join us!

We are delighted to welcome American cellist Steuart Pincombe, an exquisite interpreter of early and contemporary music known for both artistic depth and adventurous spirit. Steuart has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in leading venues across North America and Europe, including the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and the Kauffman Center. Yet he is equally at home sharing music in intimate spaces—from cafés and breweries to rural barns.
Praised as “a gorgeous player with perfect intonation, imaginative phrasing” (The Philadelphia Inquirer) and a “superb soloist” (The Strad Magazine), Steuart brings technical mastery together with warmth and approachability. Whether performing Bach or contemporary works, his playing reflects both virtuosity and poetry.
Steuart and his wife Michelle now reside in rural Missouri, where they host concerts and guests at their off-grid barn through their project, Farmata.
Join us for an evening of remarkable music and shared listening. All are welcome.

For our next Pastor's Book Club, we will be discussing John Piper’s classic, Desiring God: Meditations of a Christian Hedonist. In a year when we are looking to “deepen our delight” in God, Piper’s biblical reflections are especially helpful. As he writes in the preface, “This is a serious book about being happy in God. It’s about happiness because that is what our Creator commands: “Delight yourself in the Lord” (Ps. 37:4).” Join us to discuss this great book on Wednesday, March 25th at 6:00 PM in the church library.

We hope your family will join us for a celebration of the good news of Easter. Together we will hear the Easter story, and then your child will be able to participate in a variety of fun and creative activities, including music, painting, cookie decorating, and building their own Resurrection Garden, all while following Jesus' journey toward the empty tomb. Children ages 5th grade and under will also have the opportunity to participate in an egg hunt.
We kindly ask that you register online for this event no later than Monday, March 16th. Families who register by the deadline and arrive on time will receive a copy of The Action Bible Easter: 25 Stories about Jesus' Resurrection as a gift from First & Calvary while supplies last.
